ariwara no narihara | that it is a road

Ariwara No Narihara

That It Is A Road

That it is a road
Which some day we all travel
I had heard before,
Yet I never expected
To take it so soon myself.

    a long road never turns

    supermarket belt
    straight,
    quick,
    final.

I think we all take the winding road
    from our first step…
Some get to walk a little further,
    but still only an instant
    in the magnatude of time

Truer words were never spoken!!! Didn’t time fly while we were having fun twisting and turning in our salad days?

    the road silences your fears
    alone you drag on
    feet hurt eyes roam
    how inquisitive the light
