Wonderful little poem. Can’t wait to see Barbara’s entire book.
Barbara stopped in Books Up the Road on the Island recently with copies of her new book. I am happy that we bought a few and I enjoyed her poems very much. Her poetry is thoughtful and insightful. Her poem about swans reminded me of other wild swan poems by Mary Oliver, Edna St. Vincent Millay and Yeats.
I appreciate that she has returned to Lime Ridge in a poem called “Village.” This collection is terrific, but as she knows, I ‘ve told her enough times, “Pine Ridge” is my favorite. She is one dandy-fine poet!
Barbara has shown her growth as a poet in this lovely
book…she has the gift of understanding human nature.
Am thrilled to have my name and poem written on the same page as Basho, one of my most favorites! Thank, Norbs
Be Aware is a wonderful piece of craftwork.
