When BOA, the American publisher, was putting the book together, a large package arrived from Korea. Without advance word, or explanation, the poet simply sent a slew of his treasurable brush drawings, as illustrations of the English-language edition ( many in color ).
Another amazing feature of the book is how each book sets out in a new space from previous ones, like a tree unfolding 185 braches, one by one …
